I've noticed that more and more artists are maintaining blogs to keep people posted on their projects and ideas which inspired me to do the same. I really think blogs are a great way to reach out to people and share thoughts and inspiration and I'm looking forward to having one of my own.
Within the last few months, I have been working toward updating my laptop & software and some of my equipment so that I can improve my photography even more. I finally graduated from the New York Institute of Photography and I'm excited to get back in the swing of things and show off my new knowledge of the "rules" of photography. Those who know me, however, know that my favorite part of graduation is that I have learned the rules so I can now tastefully break them to create interesting and unique projects.
For now, I am continuing to play with many types of photography but I'm taking a break from portraiture until late October/early November because as some of you already know, I am expecting my first child in late September (the 29th, to be exact!). At this point in my pregnancy, I feel it is a good idea to focus on what I truly love doing and avoid working outdoors in this summer heat, plus dedicating time to post processing may be a little too much for me to take on right now. I'm not done with it forever, though, so stay tuned!
