On September 26, 2018 the lovely Tanisha Watkins hosted a styled shoot at an abandoned church off Grandel Square in downtown St. Louis. Our brides, Brittany Creech and Zoe Schumer, were dressed in stunning gowns from David's Bridal and the gentlemen, Thomas Welcher and Caleb Petzoldt, rocked tuxedos from Prom and Beyond.
It was such a treat being around so many talented photographers and learning different shooting & posing techniques from everyone! At first, I was extremely shy and reserved as big social situations are so not my thing, but once I warmed up, I had a blast shooting and learning from some pretty amazing people.
Being the sentimental and detail-appreciative person I am, I was super excited to spend some time photographing the rings and the cake table. Sweet Designs Bakery really knocked it out of the park with this beautiful (and delicious!) cake and the cupcakes and cookies from Sprinkled Sweet Shop were absolutely adorable and complimented the table very well. The floral details from Faith's Florals really made this cake stand out and honestly, I felt a little guilty eating it!
The first couple I had the pleasure of working with was Brittany and Tommy. They were such a cute couple and not only did they pose beautifully and flawlessly, but they had the cutest giggles amongst themselves and the way they looked at eachother had me walking around with that heart-eyes emoji in my thought bubble all evening!
Next, I met Zoe and Caleb and they were nothing short of a complete and total joy. Zoe was full of laughter and her smile lit the entire venue up! I couldn't get over the amazing chemistry between these two - it was a shock to find out they're not married in real life! When their turn came to cut the cake, I couldn't stop smiling because they seemed to be in their own little world and were having so much fun with it.
The vendors involved really went above and beyond to make this styled shoot such a gorgeous success! With Emma Swacker and Shanice Mac, the girls' hair and makeup looked absolutely flawless and Premier Party Rentals and CityCraftery provided some stunning details that really brought this shoot to life.
I am beyond grateful to have been a part of this amazing styled shoot with some even more amazing professionals! It was such a great opportunity and I look forward to many more!
