Family Adventures: Pop-Up Camper | Brittany Lynn Imagery

Anyone who knows my husband Ryan and me knows that we absolutely love spending time outdoors. Our first date was at Klondike Park where we went on a hike together and the second date, we went camping for four days! Six years later, we have a family and things have changed a little but our love for nature and the outdoors has remained strong. When Bella came into our lives, we had to alter the way we enjoy our time outdoors and in the beginning, we didn't get to go out much, if at all. Now that she is older and has a similar love for being out in nature, we have decided to treat ourselves to a camping upgrade: a pop up camper!

Don't get me wrong, I love tent camping (and will probably tent camp many more times in my life)! Part of the entire experience of camping for me was turning off my phone and not plugging back into life until we got back home. With Bella, however, things are changing and we are happily adapting! Every time I see a family tent camping and enjoying themselves, it brings me such joy and I applaud their ability to do so harmoniously. Our Bella is an outdoorsy girl but also likes to be clean and does not tolerate being uncomfortable while sleeping - and honestly, as I age, I can relate!

In addition to being a clean and homey camping amenity, this pop up is a symbol of family and of tradition. While my PawPaw was near the end of life, he constantly talked about all of the fun he had with my grandma Karon in their camper and how he wanted us to experience a camper for ourselves. In fact, my visit with him often ended in him promising that as soon as he got out, he would get Ryan, Bella, and me our first family camper. Sadly, he never left, but we made it our mission to get a camper and we finally did it! He would be beyond thrilled!

As we go, we plan on making some updates and cosmetic changes to it to make it all ours and since my husband works on trailers for a living, he is especially looking forward to having a fun project at home to look forward to! Hopefully soon, we will be adding new flooring, painting cabinets, making all new countertops and a table top, reupholstering all of the cushions, and installing a brand new canvas!

Can't wait to share our memories with you!
