When Marissa reached out to me to book their family portraits, I was super excited! Because we went to high school together, our time together was going to be a bit of a reunion and I absolutely love when that happens!! As cheesy as it may sound, I really love getting to meet old classmates' families and getting to see them laughing together and having fun is something that always makes me happy - and this session was just that.

We all met at The Muny and I just have to commend Marissa because she chose this location and literally every square inch of this place was GORGEOUS. The skies were overcast, too, which made it even better because we had a bit more flexibility on which elements of this location we could take advantage of. My favorite spot was the clearing in the landscaping with the really tall grass that moved in the wind but I bet if you were to ask the boys, they would probably pick the field because there was so much room to RUN! And run they did!!

I had a blast getting photos of the boys as they played, climbed trees, and ran around while I photographed Marissa and Mike together. I even used my shoe as a finish line for a race which resulted in some really cute photos of the boys playing together that ended up being some of my favorites!

Marissa, thank you so much for reaching out and trusting me with your family portraits! It was so genuinely wonderful to see you again and to meet Mike & the boys and I hope to work with you guys again soon!!
