One of my favorite things about portraiture is that I get to be in the presence of love ALL THE TIME!

I got to do that very thing during my recent mini sessions but one of them really stuck out to me.

It was a rainy day and as I met Sarah and AJ near my spot, my brain was a whirl with how we were going to improvise for this session. The hay bale I was using for a prop unexpectedly got wet so I was taking them to a spot a little further down the beach with the intent to capture some of the fall foliage.

As we were walking and catching up, Sarah had mentioned that they never had engagement photos done. In fact, they didn't even have a photographer on their wedding day! So of course, I completely changed my perspective on this session and decided to make it more of an intimate, engagement-like session so that they could still have those moments and that fun.

My mind quickly went from a fall-themed session to something a little more romantic and joyful.

I had an absolute blast working with this couple and it was a true honor to have them in front of my camera! Luckily the rain didn't get in the way for us and we had a wonderfully dreamy session on the beach in the soft wind. Talk about a romance novel come to life!
