I've said it before and I'll say it again: being adaptable is an absolute must when it comes to being a professional photographer!

We scheduled this session decently far in advance so we had no way of knowing that it would rain the entire day but we were not going to let that get in our way! As our start time approached, I was in constant communication with the Snells about what the weather looked like in their area and whether or not we were going to get to shoot that day. Now, if you've ever had professional photos done, you know that a lot of time goes into planning for the session and a lot of effort goes into getting ready and as the one on the other side of the camera, I remain mindful of the fact that my clients are putting a lot into this and we are getting it done unless we are bleeding or there's a tornado!

Luckily, as the time got closer, the weather was clearing up where they were, even though it was still raining pretty heavily where I was when I left.

When I arrived at our location, Indian Camp Creek Park in Foristell, MO, I was in awe of the beautiful sky that the rain had left behind. We spent a short amount of time in the field by the old house structure but we soon made our way to the trail by the lake and turned our session into a photo walk - my favorite thing to do!

We had a great time walking the trail and stopping at various settings from tall grasses to bridges, to the lake and I couldn't be happier with the images we were able to create that day!
