I was beyond excited when Ashley and Andy contacted me about maternity images at the gorgeous Klondike Park! We have some awesome mutual friends so I had met them before and I was familiar with them so I knew this would be a fun session with lots of laughs!

These two were such a fun and laid back couple to work with and we had a great time walking around the park and getting to know eachother! 

We started on the trail and for this session, we stayed relatively close so that outfit changes were easy and each spot we moved to had the most amazing, Sneak Peek Social-6424 creamy lighting! We also got to play with some props that they brought and I was completely smitten. I think my favorite has to be the shoes: they both wore Converse and they brought along a little pair of Converse for the baby and they were just the cutest little shoes ever! I just kept picturing little baby feet in these shoes and oh my gosh, they are so tiny!!

Ashley brought two outfits so we got to work with some variety which is always a great option to have! Both of her outfits were absolutely beautiful and the kimono she brought was giving me ALL THE HEART EYES! I love a good, flowy piece for maternity and she totally killed it in her beautiful outfits!

I just have to point out here: look how beautiful she looks!! Maternity gowns are stunning, yes, and you'll look like you're straight out of a magazine in one, but I also think that being true to yourself and who YOU are is the best way to choose an outfit for your session, regardless of the occasion. I know Ashley could definitely rock a gown if she wanted to but she looks absolutely gorgeous here and she was able to remain true to herself and represent who she is here and there's immeasurable beauty in that!

So yes, Pinterest is an amazing research tool but don't get swept up in the superficial of it. If dresses are your thing, then go all out in one! But if they aren't, don't diminish that part of you. A dress or skirt is absolutely not the only way to dress up your session! 

Also, my gosh, can we talk about that dreamy sunflare!?

That sun was there in all its gorgeous glory for their session and it made for some beautiful, summery images that they get to have forever!!
