When Emma and Cody contacted me last year about shooting their engagement photos and wedding, I had no idea that I was about to develop a new friendship! As we talked over plans and obstacles before we even met in person, we bonded amazingly but when I finally met them on Main Street one insanely snowy day in January for their engagement portraits, we really hit it off!
Funny side note: at the time that they booked, I was working part time at my best friend's mom's restaurant and Emma's parents happened to be some of our regulars - and neither of us knew about this degree of relation until months later! That was pretty entertaining to us once we made that connection and honestly made the wedding that much more special to us because at that restaurant, our regulars are like family!
First of all, these two are in the most pure, beautiful love! They are so easy to photograph because the love they have for each other radiates out into the world and honestly, it's really easy to take nice photos of beautiful things!
The day of their wedding, I was super excited! Ryan, my husband and second shooter, and I arrived early to get situated and breathe before the day started and this was one of those days where I had no nerves whatsoever. It honestly felt like we about to be guests at the wedding and not vendors - it was awesome!
Once everyone arrived, it was a whirlwind of getting ready, tying ties, putting on shoes, and finishing up makeup and then it was time for the ceremony to start!
This day was so wonderful and Ryan and I were honored to be a part of yet another life changing moment for our clients and friends. This is one of those jobs that we will never take lightly because, as a married couple ourselves, we understand how special all of the little moments of the day are and we are so excited to be there and capture them!
Emma and Cody,
We wish you nothing but the absolute best. I can't believe how much I cried during the day but every single tear was full of joy and happiness for the two of you! Your love is an inspiration and I am so thankful to have been a part of your wedding day and to have developed the friendship we have over the last year!
Thank you so much for choosing us to be there with you and congratulations, again!!
